Subject: a new cafe, the Anatolia 2000 Cyber
Cafe
BM New Media Cafe
What is a frontier more creativity today, when we
are without a definitive map? At the turn of the
millenium, this situation still applies to cyberspace.
On occasion, a search without landmarks through
the numerous art sources, discussions can be
facilitated. Anatolia 2000 project will make it
easy to navigate focusing on art and visualizing
further electronic expansions too.
Anatolia 2000 Cyber Cafe, a project of BM and
for the BM space in situ, is a concerted effort to
chart this terra incognita.
In order to outline a map of the cyberatlas for art
and culture, an accumulation of a system of
hardware, software and a team of young culture
warriors will get together for interactive
communication in order to both receive and
transmit as well art news, art works and
installations and expanded events of all types.
At BM New Media Cafe, one updated station
with internet connection will be browsing
contemporary art cyberworld towards so many
predetermined engaged addresses quite in
continuity, with a systematic downloading urge
and outreaching interactivity coverage. Printouts
of texts, of visual stuffs and of all animated
objects will be available from BM Cafe, and will
also be exhibited during the cafe open hours as
texts, posters, video demonstrations and as big
size projected items. Actually these things will
constitute the main substantial center of attraction
for the BM Cafe attendance, while a light buffet
and drinks service, and a contemporary
avantgarde art works' gallery disposal open for
public will and for sale within the copyrights,
complete the general culture center outlook. The
for-profit administration of BM New Media Cafe
will be defacto carried on by the Studioplus Ltd.
Company and other associated interested third
parties, sponsors and institutions.
How BM Anatolia 2000 Cyber Cafe will
approach artists, regular or supporting
memberships, and other institutional access issues
is presently open to suggestions and ideas --
indeed these would be considered as constructive
and encouraging. Better coverage and interactivity
of all the odd ends of the remote contemporary
artistic sites in cyberspace, getting to know all
speculative expectations via a variety of routes
based on the multimedia communication new
know-hows, will be openly explored via in situ
practices and live art+technology applications.
