REBAB
    The body of this this string instrument is afish skin covered coconut.The three strings are made from horse tail one string at a tiome is played with a horse tail bow.
UD
    It is an eleven stringed instrument played with a pick.It has a wide body and short neck.
NEY
    It is a wind instrument made of cane. The insidde is hollow.There are seven holes.
TANBUR
    It is a long necked, seven stringed instrument played with a tortoise shell pick.
KANUN
    It is an Asian instrument with 75 strings. It is played with a pick while reting on the players knees.
CENG
    It is an Asian harp with either 14 or 24 strings. It is held under the left arm and played with both hands.It was once used for Mevlevi Music.
BAGLAMA
    It is a seven stringed instrument played with arpegios.It is the chief of Anatolian Folk Music instruments.
DOMBRA(dutar)
    This is a two stringed instrument played with arpegios.It is oriented among Kazak and Kirgiz and was the special instrument of Baksi Shamans.
KILKOPUZ
    This is an instrument with a wooden body and 3 or 4 horse tail hair strings. It is played with a bow while resting on the players knee. It is one of the chief instruments of the Central Asia Shamans.
RUBAB
    This Ozbek Tacik instrument has a wooden body covered with a skin. It has a long neck.The 5 strings are played with a pick.
TAR
    This is a long necked Azerbaijan instrument made from mulberry wood and covered with a skin. The eleven strings are played with a pick.
MISKAL
    This is an Asian pan flute made by tying different sized pieces of cane together in a row.
GUBUZ(sangobiz)
    This instrument is made by attaching a flexible steel strip to a metal hoop. The player puts the guguz in his mouth and vibrates the steel strip with one hand while inhaling and exhaling.
KABAK KEMANE(gicek)
    This 3 stringed instrument is played with a bow. The body is made from a squash gourd;the neck is made from mulberry wood.
KORAY
    This is an Idil-Ural instrument made from a piece of narrow cane. It is placed between the teeth and blown.
MAZHAR
    This is a percussion instrument made by streching a skin over a wooden hoop Rhythm is produced by striking it with the fingers
KUDUM
    This is a clay drum covered with a skin. A pair are often played with drum sticks called zahme.
